Legacy Circle Spotlight: Polly Amrein

Polly Amrein became a Home Counselor for BBF in the 1950s after attending an inspirational course on special education taught by Florence Henderson at San Francisco State University. Polly was trained by Nancy Akeson—BBF Founder— and went on to have a vibrant career in education that included teaching college in Nigeria. Throughout her life, Ms. Amrein has remained dedicated to the mission of Blind Babies Foundation and now serves on the History Committee, which is working hard to assemble the rich history of BBF for our 60th anniversary in 2009.

Polly generously chose to name BBF as the primary beneficiary of a Charitable Gift Annuity and is a valued member of the BBF Legacy Circle. It is because of the support of generous donors like Polly Amrein that BBF will continue services for another 60 years.
