Donate Today and Make a Difference!

Every child's development is crucial during the first five years; it is even more so when a child is born blind or visually impaired. Blind Babies Foundation has been providing critical early intervention and education services to infants and preschoolers who are blind or visually impaired for 60 years at no cost to families.

The work of Blind Babies Foundation is supported primarily through charitable contributions. Your tax-deductible donation allows us to impact the lives of more than 500 children and families each year in 14 central and northern California counties. For more information on BBF services click here.

Another Way to Donate to BBF Online

Former BBF Home Counselor Evie Rote's father, Ernest Weil, ran the very popular and successful San Francisco bakery Fantasia Confections. Mr. Weil has written a fantastic pastry cookbook where he shares many of Fantasia's most popular creations with the world. Mr. Weil generously donates the 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this on-line book to different children's organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, and in Haifa, Israel. You can purchase this book online and designate that the proceeds be donated to Blind Babies Foundation.

Planned Giving

Join our Legacy Circle by creating a customized Will or Trust:

  • Name BBF in your Will -- Have you thought about where you would like to leave your legacy? It's never too early to plan on making the most of your estate by creating a Will and naming BBF as one of your beneficiaries.
  • Name BBF in your Living Trust – Naming BBF as one of your beneficiaries in a Living Trust can help you avoid the costly and emotionally demanding Probate Court process and limit exposure to gift and estate taxes by balancing your unified credit and the unlimited marital deduction.
  • Charitable Trust -- Perhaps you are an investor with stock, real estate, or other property that has appreciated in value. Selling it would create a huge income and capital gains tax burden. Consider the following option: (a) place the asset into a charitable trust; (b) receive an income stream from the asset throughout your life and throughout your spouse’s life; and (c) receive a charitable deduction as BBF, a remainder beneficiary, ultimately receives the asset when the charitable trust terminates.
  • BBF Endowment -- Contributions to BBF’s Endowment can be made as a direct lifetime gift or a planned gift through your estate. Future generations will benefit from your donation to the BBF Endowment Fund. Only the interest on your gift is used to meet expenses. BBF invests in the organization’s future by developing the value of the Endowment’s principal through smart investments and strict oversight.

Tribute Gifts

What better way to remember a loved one than to make a donation to Blind Babies Foundation in their name? Tributes work for celebrating a special birthday, or other milestone, as well as for a memorial. A notification card is sent to the person of your choice.

Donate Your Car

If you're thinking of parting with your car, boat, or other vehicle, you might want to look into donating it to BBF. It's a great way to help children get off to a good start, not to mention the tax deduction.

Workplace Giving

Blind Babies Foundation participates in a variety of workplace giving campaigns nationwide, giving employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for children who are visually impaired or blind. You can donate to BBF through an employee giving campaign, or your company's matching gift program. You can contribute to these programs with a one-time gift or through ongoing payroll deductions.
